The atmosphere here is lovely, good food. What most impressed me though was a youngish lad who I think was called Ben had a lady having a go at him (not justified at all I might add) and he handled it very maturely, being polite and dealing with the situation very well. Later after my meal I asked to see the Manager to mention the lad and who should walk over and introduce him but 'Ben' (hope that is his name) He is truly a credit to this establishment!

This establishment is walking distance from our house. Haven't been for a long time so decided to have the Sunday carvery. Food was excellent and there was a choice of 3 meats and pigs in blankets for an extra couple of quid. Staff are friendly and are always working hard to make sure you get served quickly. My wife had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and I had the Malteser sundae after our carvery and they were both spectacular. They supply John Holts beer and a good selection of wines and spirits. They have recently changed their menu but haven't tried any of these new dishes as yet. Brilliant local pub and restaurant with excellent friendly hardworking staff. Thankyou for a lovely Sunday dinner.

Visited the Tavern earlier this week, one of Joseph Holt's pubs situated in the picturesque craft village of Marsh Mill in Thornton-Cleveleys and sampled their recently launched Spring menu. We tried the following: 》The Ultimate Burger Classic Beef burger, crispy buttermilk chicken fillet and slow cooked beef brisket topped with mature Cheddar, BBQ sauce and beer battered onion rings 》Joseph Holt's Trailblazer braised Featherblade Steak and Melting Onions with olive oil crushed new potatoes, garlic buttered spinach and green beans 》Hot Honey Chicken Battered chicken breast chunks in a sticky spiced honey glaze 》Garlic and Stilton Mushrooms Button mushrooms in a creamy garlic and stilton sauce paired with a garlic-herb ciabatta 》The Lakes' Sticky Toffee Pudding served with custard 》Joseph Holt's Trailblazer Stout & Chardonnay Thoroughly enjoyed everything that we had from the moreish hot honey chicken & creamy mushroom starters to the perfectly cooked tender featherblade steak, flavourful (massive) burger and scrumptious sticky toffee pudding. Looking for a place to unwind with your significant other or mates while enjoying a fab selection of hearty food, homemade desserts, cakes, beers, ales and a carvery available seven days a week? Tavern at the Mill's got you sorted.
